the hustle and bustle of the airport and subway terminals below it.
the police are just as prevalent here as in Singapore
haha the perfect start for the morning !
alright im now at oakwood apartments, its rather nice. using my dad's laptop and plugged into the buildings cable internet, which i may add is very very good. the speed is off the charts, about $40 for a week, considering its uber fast.
if most of you guys haven't noticed, i've already flown outta singapore since last night (or morning, flight was midnight). reached japan around 7am odd, touched down in a rather unfamiliar terminal.. was expecting the same one like e other time round.
one thing to highlight would be the journey itself. the plane was like a furnace when we went to our seats; eavedropped and heard from the stewardess that the air conditioning broke down. it was really torturous i'm telling you.. what made matters worse was that there were these three singaporean blokes in front of me and my sisters. besides talking obnoxiously and (if i may add rather loudly with a capital L) about their "knowledge" concerning japan, they reclined their seats so far behind i'd have to be a midget to do anything in my seats. they constantly asked the stewardesses many cock questions like which soft drink was not gassy and why their seats were allegedly spolit (kinda ironic since they managed to recline it to my utter discomfort).
the airport was damn packed, both locals and foreigners were queueing to check in. waited close to 45 mins ?
waiting for the bus we booked to a hotel nearest to our apartment
So yeah thats pretty much where i'm staying, its pretty quiet here, as closeby theres a few ambassies. more like the cbd area, but quite near shibuya etc. slacked around at home, went to e supermarket to stockup on supplies.
then headed to a nearby cafe to grab some lunch, watch e crowd go by and just chill out in e open. had some spaghetti which was well cooked i must say.
anyhow, didn't do much, just walked around e area, quite a bit to explore, but there wasn't much shopping areas, but lotsa makan places. ate at some random restaurant, served quite nice food actually. didnt manage to take though.
there was some funny outdoor marathon thing going on after we ate our dinner, and its quite amazing really. the weather was i think close to 4-5 degrees ? haha and they were running and sweating, must have been real cold for them.
alright till e nxt post. haha, im not so sure whether will have enough energy to post another entry tmr, we'll see. till then, take care.

it's been ages since i last blogged , doubt even if anyone reads this place as often as myself. haha.
anyhow the ''holidays'' have been rather relaxing, indeed the freedom after army life is something to keep smiling about. but there are days when it just feels empty, you know? that sense of purpose and anchorage eludes you and you feel as barren and dry as the Sahara. you wake up and think whats there to be done. oh wait nothing.
i know the nsfs and yet-to-be nsfs are probably yelling at me now and thinking I'm some kinda numb skull but yeah ironically those army days i woke up knowing somehow how the day would end up, what my weekend activities were etc. alright most of the days were spent eating dinner at home alone cos the folks were out, my sisters were working, my best buddies are stuck in camp/school and some days perhaps i felt really lazy. but yeah to a certain extent the linearity of it all perhaps is something good ?
maybe being single doesn't help too lol. like there isn't the all available girlfriend to bug you so to speak. but like they say all in due time huh. anyway to those nosy pricks no i don't have any ''targets'' at the moment, even if i did, they are (most unfortunately) way out of my reach/league/salary range.
then again i should be going to find a job no ? yeah that's what everyone is telling me now. unfortunately I'm like going to japan next week, so any good jobs are probably ruled out of the picture, unless something like an event crops up, even so im pretty picky. but as many people suggested the relief teacher job is good, and that would probably be my choice after i come back, which would be 14th april.
if all else goes well my band would be having some gigs as well, tentatively one at temasek poly and one at sentosa. stay tuned for updates on my band yeah.
so what have i actually been up to recently ? well I've been working on my guitar alot, but still sucky don't worry. i have completed 4 pc games (lol geek 8 ) and spent time on the Wii as well. been playing soccer , swimming and jogging too. but dont worry too cos im just as obese as i always have been.
its good to see via online means that many friends out there are doing quite good now, be it getting good money, doing well academically, or finding their partners etc. i look back over the years and really see how much you guys have changed so much, most of it for the better i guess.
thinking about the past i really feel that I've come a long way to where i am today. but there's still a long road ahead of me, uni would be the first stop of course. lets just hope there are more happier times to come. for the good times and for the bad ones we wish to forget, here's a song i really like.
Human happiness at its zenith. that day you actually smiled because you felt like it, you laughed because you were sincerely humoured, the night that you spent with the person you adore....and you just don't want it to fade away like another memory. but sadly it does..
When I'm at the pearly gates
This'll be on my videotape
My videotape
My videotape
When Mephistopheles is just beneath
And he's reaching up to grab me
This is one for the good days
And I have it all here
In red blue green
In red blue green
You are my center when I spin away
Out of control on videotape
On videotape
This is my way of saying goodbye
Because I can't do it face to face
So I'm talking to you before it's too late
No matter what happens now
I shouldn't be afraid
Because I know today has been the most perfect day I've ever seen

Well they say it's right if it feels alright
When your love burns up in the mire
So I burnt a fire for a lost desire
See it burning higher
